Creating Global Citizens

The world is evolving into a global community, which provides us all with the opportunity to study, live and work in virtually any destination we choose. With over 100 nationalities taught across our network, Aldar Academies and the UAE are among these destinations.

Because of our international relevance, we understand the importance of developing our diverse student cohort as global citizens, but what does this mean exactly?

It means that students consider themselves part of a community not defined by national borders, and one which empowers them to pursue opportunities across the world. As they carry with them an education which promotes respect and understanding of other cultures and beliefs, students are well prepared to prosper in our increasingly globalised society. At the same time, global citizenship encourages our students to view their values and decisions through a worldwide lense, and therefore do what is right for the global community.

Each of Aldar Academies’ learning pathways support the development of global citizens. Our International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), English National Curriculum and American Massachusetts State Curriculum all have an international focus, making each qualification relevant to the most prestigious universities across the world.

However, we never lose sight of our UAE heritage and culture. Throughout students time with us we promote an understanding of this country’s values and beliefs enabling students to go out into the world as ambassadors of the UAE, spreading the knowledge of the country they were educated in.
