About Al Mamoura Academy

Al Mamoura Academy is a mixed primary and girls-only secondary school located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, near the Sea Palace off the East Ring Road.

Al Mamoura Academy’s mixed primary school is the new site for the students previously attending Al Mushrif School, which was recently rated “Outstanding” by Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). The primary school strives to help students reach their full potential, and develop them into motivated, ambitious and confident lifelong learners. Male students attending Al Mamoura Academy’s primary school will receive automatic placement to Al Bateen Academy when they progress to secondary school.

Al Mamoura Academy exclusively follows the English National Curriculum during the primary years and offers one of two pathways during the secondary years. Students can continue to study the English National Curriculum tailored for international students, or take our enhanced Arabic and Islamic Studies syllabi, preparing them for the unified Ministry of Education examinations.

The academy’s girls-only secondary school provides girls with an education based on best-in-class teaching methods, a range of extra-curricular activities, and the promotion of leadership skills. Together, they help to prepare our students to be effective contributors and confident leaders of the future.

Facilities at the school are state-of-the-art, and we have designed the entire academy to meet the needs of 21st-century learners. These facilities include extensive music, drama and art facilities, specialist teaching rooms such as a research laboratory, graphic design area and recital room. Sports facilities include a multi-purpose sports hall, dance studio, 25m swimming pool, a full-sized football pitch and basketball courts.

Alongside access to the very best facilities and technology, Al Mamoura Academy students benefit from the combined knowledge of over 1,000 Aldar Academies teachers. We are unique in the way we enable our teachers to share best practice across the network, and provide platforms from which they can actively expand their teaching skills by studying for an accredited course such as the IB, BSME and successfully complete action research projects at a Master’s Degree level. Aldar Academies teachers collectively completed 10,000 hours of training last year.

Additionally, we are always looking at ways to broaden our pupil’s own minds. This includes inviting inspiring guest speakers into schools to share their life experiences, such as former NASA astronaut Robert Curbeam, and inspiration professional athletes such as Manchester City football coaches, former world tennis champion Monica Seles and female boxer turned health and fitness trainer Mohammed Ali’s daughter Laila Ali. Academies also hosts Emirate-wide student sports tournaments to build our pupil’s confidence and physical health.
