Assessment in class:
Students are continually being assessed on their knowledge in lessons.  However, formal assessments throughout the year are below;
Week beginning October – Classification, cells and processes
Week beginning November– Digestion and enzymes and all previous content 
Week beginning  January – All course content 
Week beginning February – Breathing, respiration, Transport and Disease and all previous content
Week beginning March – Excretion, Coordination and Control and all previous content
Week beginning May - Mock exam
Week beginning  June - Ecology and  End of year exam.
 
Homework:
Students in Year 10 will be set homework at least once a week for Biology.

In Year 10 students will have covered the following.

Assessment for IGCSE final examinations, All students must sit two examination papers Paper 1C – 2 hours and Paper 2C – 1 hour.
